U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting website is a historical data center established in 2002 and has information starting with boot camp and ending with a Marine’s final "duty station." It finds, collects, preserves and returns graduation yearbooks and platoon pictures, and returns them to Marines for only the cost of shipping and handling; there is never a charge for the item. It also honors Marines who have reported to their “final duty station” by maintaining the only searchable obituary database dedicated to Marines.

The start of the journey - boot camp - is something Marines never forget. Graduation year books and platoon photos depict the training and the pride Marines feel in earning the title. Sometimes these books and pictures are lost and the pictorial reminder of the journey is also lost. solely operates on contributions from Marines and Marine Corps supporters. Contributions of graduation yearbooks, platoon photos (or scans) and money to help maintain the collection are always greatly appreciated. Please help continue the mission by sending a contribution to A Marine never leaves another Marine behind and remains forever faithful to the Corps.
